Philosophy

“Philosophy”, means “the study of general and fundamental problems concerning matters such as existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language”.

What we would like to achieve with the following statements is to put into writing some provocative statements which underlie the reasons for which we support the DC approach.

People managers, leaders, team leaders and supervisors should take a pro-active role in developing their people.

Current corporate working styles do not allow enough time for leaders to develop their people.

By TIME, we mean structured and focused time-slots which are devoted to development, rather than being an “additional task on the to-do list”

Great ideas, and people with true potential are often not recognised at all, or too late, due to there being a lack of succession planning culture related to the vision and mission of the organisation.

Innovation requires a platform of discussion, argument and feedback.

The future dominance of e-learning as a key development tool is un-disputed.

The need for people to get together to do the human thing will rise accordingly, and the organisations which combine these tools will achieve greater levels of harmony, thereby keeping their people longer and using their effectiveness better.

People development requirements will change to embrace a culture of more measurable results, and line managers will be expected to run this „measurement process“ for their own people.

The amount of people working from home will increase, and they will be more critical, and demanding, of the development activities that their companies expect them to go through.
